Elevation: This is the angle at which the signal arrives to your dish. You need to set it according to the scale on your dish

Note that most dishes are offset dishes,so they will appear to be pointing less upright than show here(about 20-26 degrees less) and thatis why you need to use the scale on the dish and not an angle finder

Azimuth(true) This is how much you need to rotate the dish around its vertical axis starting from true North
If you use a compass then you need to use the magnetic azimuth value

Azimuth(magn):When using a compass, use this value as it takes into account the direction due to magnetic fields specific to your location

LNB Skew : LNB skew is not neccessary for satellites with circular polarization(e.g.Drect TV,Dish Network)-Turn clockwise standing behind the dish

Còn về cái đỉa 36 inches DTV World.

You can go to HomeDepot, in electrial dept, purchase a few 3/4" clamp and also purchase a 3/4" electrical tube. Get some additional lnb and you are all set.

Facts about DiSEqC switches:

DiSEqC switches use 1.0 or 2.0 software, there is no difference between the switching commands in these 2 versions, they both use DiSEqC 1.0, so that is what you will use.

DiSEqC 1.1 (uncommitted) is for a special kind of DiSEqC switch, this 4x1 switch costs $70, on sale, so trust me you don't have one of these switches, so you don't need to use DiSEqC 1.0/1.1

DiSEqC switches can be a problem, the majority are made to sell at a low price and the quality control reflects this.

Chieta Heavy Duty switches seems to be the exception this.

DiSEqC switches are also very sensitive to power spikes, when you add or remove a cable from a DiSEqC switch this causes a power spike and this will damage the DiSEqC switch usually the first time it happens, so you don't get a "do over" with these switches.

So ALWAYS unplug ALL receivers from power when servicing a DiSEqC switch, using the ON/OFF switch on the back of the receiver is the same as unplugging it from power, turning off the receiver with the remote or front panel button is NOT the same.

A damaged DiSEqC switch will pass the signal on LNB1 port only, which tricks you into thinking the switch is working, but you can test for this.
Testing a DiSEqC switch, or any switch for that matter, can/should be done inside.

Turn off all receivers, using the switch on the back, unplug any sub boxes connected to the same dish you will be using.

Connect the cable going to your test receiver directly to a working LNB.Turn receiver back on and select that satellite/LNB then see what your Signal and Quality levels are, write down those two numbers.(you must have a high signal and quality level to do this test)

Turn receiver off using switch on the back, ALWAYS.

Disconnect the LNB cable from LNB IN port on receiver.
Connect the DiSEqC switch to the LNB IN port on the receiver using a short piece of cable.

Connect the LNB cable to LNB1 port on the switch.
Turn receiver back on and select the same satellite/LNB as before.

Use DiSEqC 1.0
committed 1 (or port 1)
You should have signal and quality levels matching or just slightly less than before.

If you have no or low signal and quality then either the short cable your using is bad or the switch is.

If the quality drops 20-30 points then switch is bad.

If receiver shuts off on its own then cable or switch has a short, check or use different cable and retest.

If Signal and Quality are ok, then shut off receiver using switch on the back.

Move LNB cable to LNB2 port on the switch.

Turn receiver back on and select same sat/LNB as before

Change setting to DiSEqC 1.0

committed 2 (or port2)

You should see Signal and Quality come back up, in some models you have to "save changes" before it will send the new DiSEqC switch command.

If you don't get Signal and Quality back then switch is bad, a bad DiSEqC switch will pass a signal on the LNB1 port but not on any of the others.

If Signal and Quality come back, turn off receiver using switch on the back.

Move LNB cable to LNB3 port on DiSEqC switch.

Turn receiver back on.

Change setting to DiSEqC 1.0
committed 3 (or port3)
Check signal and Quality levels.

Repeat for LNB4 port, shutting off receiver, moving cable and changing settings to
DiSEqC 1.0
committed 4 (or port4)

Once you have tested all your switches, you can move the DiSEqC switch out to the dish(receiver powered off!) and connect all the LNBs up to it.

Then power on the receiver and do your settings to match how YOU connected the LNBs to the switch.

Once you have the settings done, turn all receivers back on and try switching between sats/LNBs if you are still having a problem then you will need to ground all receiver cables to a common ground point, even if you only have 1 receiver you may have to ground the cable.

The cables from the DiSEqC switch to the LNBs can also be the source of grounding issues, loose connectors = intermitant trouble.

DiSEqC switches also don't like cable runs longer than 50ft to the switch, this can often be the source of the problem, using a Chieta DiSEqC switch can solve this problem in most cases.

Check here for grounding How-tohttp://forums.f2atv.com/showthread.php?t=77511
What a great post. This info people need to know.
I had somebody ask a question and this would have assisted. Not all switches show as directly bad. some ports can simply fail while others function or a simple setting like LNB off can be the culprit. Simple can sometimes be alusive. I found a solution that makes simple an advantage.

Your receiver outputs aprox 500 ma sink current or less but a diseqc switches voltage switching characteristic is a function and requirement. Why not utilise that function. An LED has a sink current of 20 ma... nowhere near enough to cause a problem for the receiver. Why not attach LED's to the output ports of the diseqc to visually supervise the operation. This eliminates the dishes from the equation and helps to verify the switch itself.

Below is the end result. They work very well and are easy to build.Cheers. Happy Thanksgiving.

How to change Capacitors on pansat 2700

If your Pansat 2700 is having these issues and your racked your brain out trying to figure it out this is how to fix it.
you will have 99% Level & 0 Quality.

Troubleshooting/Inspection:
the problem is 2 capacitors that are blown. C-13 & C-14. on smaller gold circuit board that connects to power supply.

Remove your cover from your receiver.
2 screws on side
1 small screw on back

now that the cover is removed, you have access to the circuit boards,
1 Main green one
1 smaller gold one. this is the one to look at .
C-13 & C-14 capacitors. 460uf16V.

if they are swollen they are blown and have to be replaced. take a look at all the others how they are flat on top. i picked them up at a electronics store for 2 bucks a piece.

Removal/Replacement:
take the 2 screws out of the gold circuit board
get needle nose pliers and press in the retaining clips opposite the screws that is holding the board in. then carefully lift it out.

now you have access underneath, you need a soldering gun for now .
now heat up the leads and pull out the capacitors, mark down on a piece of paper in case you forget how you pulled them out the negative lead the white stripe on side of capacitor & the positive lead, so when you put them in you put them in the same way you took them out . make sure your pulling out the right capacitors. before you start heating them up.
do one then the other.
once you have this done.installing the new ones is a cinch.
you will require small wire solder and paste.

before you put the new capacitors in make sure the negative lead is in properly, there is a white stripe or a minus sign.

now push your new capacitors in the C-13 & C14 spots in the board where you removed the old ones.

you might need a helper as another set of hands is always nice for this part.
have them hold the capacitor tight against the board so you can solder underneath.dip your solder in the paste and come close to the wire underneath protruding to the board and it will melt like butter.

if u cant pull out the capacitor its soldered good. this takes a few seconds . then when its done. take some nippers or tiny side cutters and clip the extra wire off . then put the gold circuit board back in carefully . press it down on the retaining clips , then re-install the 2 screws. put back the cover on and your done.
now you will have level & quality again!
